La Ronde du Ventoux Optic 2ooo

RDV_UK
Born at the beginning of the 20th Century, the Mont Ventoux race remains the most famous event of its kind. In 2001, Peter Auto transformed the hill climb race into a loop, the Ronde du Ventoux, avoiding the fastidious wait at the summit.
In 2010, Peter Auto is back to the foot of the Giant of Provence with the Ronde du Ventoux Optic 2ooo. The retrospective comes back to life with with the support of the ASAC Vauclusien, on a biannual rhythm. The "Ronde du Ventoux" is now a fifty-kilometre loop covered several times on Saturday and Sunday. Organised under rally regulations, it includes the Mont Ventoux hillclimb as a special stage, which start will be given from the Saint Estève corner for a finish 16 kilometres further at the tricky Col des Tempêtes (Storms Pass) which endeavours to keep its reputation!

Going back over 75 years of history which made the fame of the "Ventoux", while the cars went all the way up to its summit; the eligibility period of the cars (between 1902 and 1976) guarantees an exceptionally varied grid and of a quality worthy of the greatest classic car events.
