Grand Prix de Pau Historique

gpph_uk

Born in 1900, transformed into a urban circuit in 1933, the Grand Prix de Pau is one of the five meetings in the world which have kept their original format. Its 2.6 km-long layout is one of the ultimate street circuits still operating. It offers a unique view from the Bearn capital over the Pyrenees. All legendary racing drivers, or nearly, have printed the event. Actually, the Grand Prix de Pau is the only Formula race where F1 big names come to challenge the young motor racing relief guard. (La jeune garde du sport automobile).

In 2001, the rich past of the Grand Prix de Pau gives birth to the Grand Prix de Pau Historique which meets various destinies. In 2009, the ASAC Basco Bearnais asks Peter Auto to take it up. Thus,  the circuit in the city celebrates its retrospective with the most beautiful cars like the other street circuit celebration, the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco.
