The Tour Auto Optic 2000 is based on a unique principle that combines circuit races, rally-style special stages and long liaison stages all over France. Each year there is a new route and among the competitors one or more models are spotlighted. The 2019 event linked Paris to Deauville via Vaux-le-Vicomte, Dijon, Lyon, Vichy and Tours; it attracted 240 competitors including Alain Prost, Bruno Senna and Bruno Solo. This year’s theme was vanished English makes. This very poetic story is accompanied by various first-hand accounts in a marvellously-illustrated book with a very inspired layout.
