Hungaroring Classic

12-14 July 2019
Hungaroring

In 2017, Peter Auto organised the first Hungaroring-Classic confirming its commitment to providing its entrants with the opportunity to race on new circuits on a regular basis. In July 2019, the series by Peter Auto will be back on the Hungarian track a few kilometres outside Budapest.

Never before had an international historic meeting been held on a Central European circuit. Peter Auto did it in 2017. By bringing together 150 racing cars, 700 collector cars and more than 20 000 spectators the inaugural staging of the Hungaroring Classic was an historic success!

This meeting is again a special one in the 2019 calendar. Most of Peter Auto events are a rare opportunity to witness iconic cars racing on the well-known tracks associated with their glory days, such as Le Mans, Spa or Monza. This one is different! Budapest did not feature on the international championship circuit until relatively recently. No endurance, GT or single-seater races were held here until the late eighties. For Hungarian fans, this event is an eye-opener!

The circuit may not be world-famous and steeped in history, but the undulating “old-style” layout with grass verges is the perfect setting for the sort of show we like to stage. Of course, a gem of a city nearby only adds to the attraction. Competitors and fans revel in the delights of Budapest, the pearl of the Danube, its majestic buildings and famous thermal baths.
