Hungaroring Classic: all about!
Peter Auto has always been driven by the desire to give the entrants in its grids the opportunity to race on new circuits so it is organising its first meeting in Eastern Europe from 29 September to 1 October.
The Hungaroring Classic is a special meeting in the Peter Auto calendar. Most of our events are a rare opportunity to witness iconic cars racing on the well-known tracks associated with their glory days, such as Le Mans, Spa or Monza. This one is different! Budapest did not feature on the international championship circuit until relatively recently. No endurance, GT or single-seater races were held here until the late eighties. For Hungarian fans, this weekend will be an eye-opener!
This is the first time Hungary has ever hosted such a large classic car race! The Hungaroring is used to spearheading change: in 1986, it was the first circuit on the “other side” of the Iron Curtain to welcome a Formula One event. Of course, a gem of a city nearby only adds to the attraction. Competitors and fans will revel in the delights of Budapest, the pearl of the Danube, its majestic buildings and famous thermal baths.
