_Spotlight on Classic Endurance Racing with the Chevron B16 driven by Pierre Fillon, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest president. The same model shone at the time driven by Brian Redman to victory in the event!  There’s also a a duel that’s familiar to motor sport fans with three Porsche 917s taking on Toni Seiler’s Lola T70., almost like a rerun of the late 1960s when these cars did battle for victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Would the Lola take its revenge?  In CER2, close-up of a jewel from Roald Goethe’s collection, an incredible Gulf Mirage.

_Maybe a little chauvinism wouldn’t do any harm, after all Paul Ricard is a French circuit! So focus on a French make, Renault and its Gordini. Mylène is going to pay a visit to the clubs, which have pride of place at the Dix Milles Tours. She’s going to meet up with Anthony Nicolo, owner of an R8 Gordini giving us an opportunity to visit the past and the Coupe Gordini. This was a single-make championship, which took place over several rounds in France, in particular at Paul Ricard. A quick flashback.

_And speaking of single-makes what about the 2.0L Cup, a Peter Auto grid not only dedicated exclusively to Porsche, but in particular to the Porsche 911 2.0L. In this race, what really makes the difference between winning and losing is not the car because everybody has the same weapon but the driver. Among them is Marie-Claude Firmenish, the first women driver in the field. An enthusiast who races “en famille” in the Peter Auto events.

_In the Firmenish family, motor sport is not just about German machines. Change of grid and car with a Shelby Daytona Cobra in Sixties’ Endurance driven by Marie-Claude’s husband, Charles Firmenish. The Sixties’ grid which, because of thick fog in the morning, took place in the late afternoon with headlights lighting the way! Challenging driving conditions for the drivers. Will the Swiss family be on the podium?

_A change of era with Endurance Racing Legends, the most recent grid in the Series Peter Auto with cars which were racing for the first time in anger on the circuit. It gave the public the opportunity to see a great show out on the track with exceptional vehicles: Saleen, Panoz, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, TVR, Marcos, Lola, etc. A clue about the guest in the studio, his car is only known by the most knowledgeable fans!

_To see other curiosities of the weekend let’s go to Group C Racing and Xavier Micheron’s car, an Olmas. Do you know it? A unique fact, the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet brought together two Peugeot 905s, emblematic prototypes of the eponymous era. They racked up 9 victories in 17 races including two wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans including a triple in 1993 with Eric Hélary, a driver at this meeting, the 905 epitomises the acme of performance!

_ Performance is the ultimate goal of any manufacturer. But is this search compatible with beautiful bodywork? To find out, rendezvous at The Greatest’s Trophy. On the grid is an AC Bristol, which raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice finishing ninth in 1958 and also a very rare Aston Martin DB4 Zagato continuation. It was seen at the recent Concours Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille organised by Peter Auto in June.

Rendezvous at the end of November for a Magazine Peter Auto behind the  scenes of an exclusive rally.
