Rallye des Légendes

Peter Auto’s latest ambition when creating the Rallye des Légendes was to see the most beautiful wonders produced by the world’s motor car industry roaring along French roads again in an exceptional rally, thus reinforcing the company’s role in celebrating the ‘art de vivre à la Française’ with the backing of its faithful partner, Richard Mille. The first staging of this event took place under the warm Provencal sun between 11-14 September.

Among the prestigious models taking part in the first Rallye des Légendes Richard Mille were Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Touring, Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, BMW 328 Roadsters, Ford GT40, Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, Matra MS 650, Porsche 718 RSK, Siata 208, etc. They discovered secondary roads over a three-day run along a star-shaped route that brought the participants back to the hub town, les Baux de Provence, every evening. On the programme was a daily drive of 250 kilometres maximum over famous special stages like Mont Ventoux, runs on the Ledenon and Grand Sambuc circuits, a visit to the blue-ribbon local heritage site, Duché d’Uzès, Chartreuse de Valbonne, gastronomic lunches and dinners concocted by great chefs as well as a night-time entr’acte in privatised places reputed for their excellence: the Oustau de Baumanière, the Carrières de Lumière and the Arles arenas.
